KVS Shillong Recruitment 2024: Kendriya Vidyalaya NEHU, Shillong has released an employment notification for the recruitment of PGT, TGT, PRT, Computer Instructor, and Nurse for the Session 2024-25. The last date for submission of the application is 20 February 2024.
1. Post Name:- Graduate Teachers (PGT)
- No. of post:- 3 (1 for each subject)
- Subjects:- Maths, Physics, Biology
- Salary:- Rs.32,500/- per month on a pro-rata basis
- Educational Qualification:- Master’s Degree or equivalent in the concerned Subject with at least 50% marks and B.Ed
2. Post Name:- Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT)
- No of post:- 4 (1 for each subject)
- Subjects:- English, Mathematics, Sanskrit & Social Science
- Salary:- Rs. 31250/- per month on pro-rata basis
- Educational Qualification:- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects/ combination of subjects and aggregate. Subject-wise details are given as follows:
- TGT(Sanskrit): Having respective subjects in all three years of the Degree Course.
- TGT(Social Science): Having two of the following: History, Geography, Economics, and Pol. Science of which one must be either History or Geography.
- Pass in the CTET-II conducted by CBSE by the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose
3. Post Name:- Primary Teachers (PRT)
- No. of post:- 6
- Salary:- Rs. 26250/- per month on a pro-rata basis
- Educational Qualification:- Senior Secondary School Certificate or Intermediate with 50% marks or equivalent & Pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET-I) conducted by the CBSE by the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for JBT/ B.El.Ed/ D.El.Ed. Competence to teach through Hindi & English media
4. Post Name:- Computer Instructor
- No. of Post:- 1
- Subjects:- To teach class III to X including CBSE Board subject – Artificial Intelligence
- Salary: Rs. 31250/- per month
- Educational Qualification: B.E/B. Tech (computer science) or Post Graduate Degree in any subject with a graduate diploma in computer application from Govt. a recognized institution or equivalent qualification.
5. Post Name:- Staff Nurse
- No. of Post:- 1
- Salary:- Rs. 750/- per working day
- Educational Qualification:- ANM/GNM/Diploma/Degree in Nursing
6. Post Name:- Special Educator
- No. of post:- 1
- Salary: Rs. 26250/-
- Educational Qualification:-
12th passed and two year D.Ed. Special Education in any of the categories of disability.

XIIth passed and one-year Diploma in Special Education (DSE) in any of the categories of disability.
OR
Diploma in Community-Based Rehabilitation (DCBR) with a 6-month Certification course in the Education of Children with Special Needs.
OR
Post Graduate Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation (PGDCBR) with 6 months certificate course in
Education of Children with Special Needs.
OR
Diploma in Multi Rehabilitation Worker (MRW) with 6 months Certificate course in Education of Children
with Special Needs.
OR
Junior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf OR Primary Level Teacher Training course in Visual Impairment. Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation- Mental Retardation (DVR-MR)/ Diploma in Vocational Training and Employment – Mental Retardation (DVTE-MR) with 6 months Certificate in Education of Children with Special Needs.
OR
Diploma in Dearing Language and Speech (DHLS) with a 6-month Certificate course in the Education of Children with Special Needs.
OR
XII passed with any RCI-recognized qualification of minimum one-year duration and 6 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs OR Any other equivalent qualification approved by RCI.
Desirable for all posts
- Knowledge of Computer Applications and proficiency to teach in English and Hindi.
Relaxation
- Where suitable CTET or B.Ed or B.El.Ed or D.El.Ed candidates are not available for PGTs, TGTs, and PRTs, such may be relaxed as per EXTANT RULES OF KVS.
