ESIC Recruitment 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an employment notification to recruit 1930 Nursing Officer posts in Employees State Insurance Corporation, Ministry of Labour & Employment. The last date for submission of the application is 27th March 2024.
Name of post: Nursing Officer
- No of posts:- 1930 [UR:892, SC:235, ST:164, OBC:446, EWS:193, PwBD:168]
- Age limit:- 18 to 30 years. The Upper age relaxation is up to 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PWD candidates.
- Salary:- Pay Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix per 7th CPC.
- Essential Qualification:-
(A)
(i) B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing from a recognized University or Institute; or Regular course in B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University or Institute or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University or Institute; and
(ii) Registered as a nurse or nurse and midwife (Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife) with the State Nursing Council.
OR
(B)
(i) Diploma in General Nursing Mid-Wifery from a recognized Board of Council; and
(ii) Registered as a nurse or nurse and mid-wife (Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife) with the State Nursing Council;
(iii) One year experience in a minimum fifty-bed hospital after acquiring the educational qualification at (B) (i) above.

Selection Process of ESIC Recruitment 2024
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct a pen & paper-based Recruitment Test (RT) to short-list the candidates for recruitment of paper-based Nursing Officers.
- Date of test: 7th July 2024
- Duration of test: The test will be of two hours duration
- Medium of test: The medium of the test will be English.
- Type of question: Object type MCQ
- Negative marking: Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to that question.
