Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023: Indian Coast Guard has released an employment notification for the recruitment of Navik (General Duty and (Domestic Branch). The required qualification is 10th and 10+2 passed. Eligible candidates may apply online. The last date for submission of the application is 16th February 2023.
1. Post Name:- Navik (General Duty)
- No of posts:- 225 [UR:88, EWS:22, OBC:61, ST:22, SC:32]
- Age limit:- 18 to 22 years. Born between 01 Sep 2001 to 31 Aug 2005 (both dates inclusive). – Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy) candidates is applicable only if posts are reserved for them.
- Salary:- Basic pay of Rs. 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the prevailing regulations.
- Essential Qualification:- 10+2 passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
2. Post Name:- Navik (Domestic Branch)
- No of posts:- 30 [UR:12, EWS:2, OBC:10, ST:2, SC:4]
- Age limit:- 18 to 22 years. Born between 01 Sep 2001 to 31 Aug 2005 (both dates inclusive). – Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy) candidates is applicable only if posts are reserved for them.
- Salary:- Basic Pay Scale for Navik (DB) is 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on the nature of duty/place of posting as per the prevailing regulation.
- Essential Qualification:– Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

Eligible candidates are to log on to https://joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in/cgept/ and follow the instructions for registering yourself with an E-mail ID/mobile number. The candidates are to ensure the validity of their E-mail ID and mobile number for at least up to 31st December 2023.
The application will be accepted ‘online’ from 6th February 2023 (1100 hrs) to 16th February 2023 (1730 hrs).
Selection Procedure
The selection process for Navik (GD/DB) in Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023 is as follows –
Stage 1: Written Test (Tentative Dates For Examination: End March 2023)
Stage 2: Physical Fitness Test (Tentative Dates For Examination: Mid/End May 2023)
- 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes
- 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak).
- 10 Push-up.

- Initial Medicals Examination
Stage 3: At INS Chilka (Tentative Dates For Examination: Early/Mid Sep 2023)
- Document Verification
- Final Medicals at INS Chilk
- Submission of Original Documents, Police Verification, and Other Associated Forms
Stage–IV: Submission of All Original Documents and Verification of All Original Documents Through Boards/ Universities/ State Government which will be carried out by the Indian Coast Guard.
Application Fee
- Candidates (except SC/ST candidates, who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 300/-(Rupees Three Hundred Only) through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/ Master/ Maestro/ Rupay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI.
- E-admit cards will be issued for the examination only to those candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee and who are entitled to waiver of the examination fee.
