The Meghalaya Basin Development Authority has released an employment notification for the recruitment of the Development Associate and Communication Associate on behalf of the Office of Development Commissioner for the State Capability Enhancement Project (SCEP). The last date to apply is 14th September 2024.

1. Post Name: Development Associate

• Place of posting: Shillong
• Age limit: Upto 45 years
• Salary: Rs. 50,00/- per month
• Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferable) degree in relevant fields such as public administration, public health, education, development studies, economics, management, or other related fields, from a reputed institution.
• Experiences, Skills & Attributes:
  1. 2+ years of relevant work experience
  2. Self-starter who can thrive in a “start-up” setting by taking ownership and initiative
  3. Passionate about working in development and demonstrated interest in helping communities improve development outcomes
  4. Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills

2. Post Name: Communication Associate

• No of posts: 1
• Place of posting: Shillong
• Age limit: Upto 45 years
• Salary: Rs. 35,000/- per month
• Essential Qualification: Graduate or Post Graduate in Mass Communication & Journalism or in a relevant field such as public administration, public health, environmental policy, education, gender studies, economics, and management from a recognized institution. Candidates from other disciplines with exceptional demonstrated skills may also apply.
• Experiences, Skills & Attributes:
  1. 4+ years of relevant work experience in the media and communications sector, with published articles or write-ups in one or more websites/journals.
  2. Candidates who can make good PowerPoint presentations and other communication materials will be preferred.
  3. Demonstrating skills in photography, videography, video editing, and graphic design is preferable.
  4. Hands-on experience in content management.
  5. Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video).
  6. Good knowledge of SEO, keyword research, social media tools, and Google Analytics.
  7. Passionate about working in development and demonstrated interest in helping communities improve development outcomes.
