Meghalaya MPSC Recruitment 2024: The Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) has released an employment notification for the recruitment of MAS (Meghalaya Agriculture Service), Child Development Project Officer, Law Officer, and Research Assistant. The last date for submission of the application is 29th March 2024.

1. Post Name:- MAS (Meghalaya Agriculture Service) — III Officers [Agriculture Development Officer/ Horticulture Development Officer/ Scientific Officer (Research/ Seed Technology/ Soil Testing/ Seed Testing etc.)]

• No of posts:- 87 [UR:13, KJ:35, Garo:35, Other ST/SC:4]
• Age limit:- 18 years to 32 years as of 01.01.2024. The Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST. There is no age bar for regular Government employees who entered Government service within the prescribed age limit.
• Salary:- Pay Level 15 of Revised Pay Structure
• Essential Qualification:- B.Sc (Honours) in Agriculture/Horticulture from the ICAR-recognized Indian University. Should be able to read or write in Khasi, Jaintia, and Garo.

2. Post Name:- Child Development Project Officer under the Social Welfare Department

• No of posts:- 7 [UR:1, KJ:2, Garo:3, Other ST/SC:1]
• Age limit:- 18 years to 32 years as of 01.01.2024. The Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST. There is no age bar for regular Government employees who entered Government service within the prescribed age limit.
• Salary:- Pay Level 15 of Revised Pay Structure
• Essential Qualification:-
  (1) Master’s Degree in Social Work from a recognized University/Institute specializing in any of the following:-.
  (i) Family and Child Welfare.
  (ii) Criminology and Correctional Administration
  (iii) Urban and Rural Community Development.
  (iv) Social Welfare Administration.
  OR
  (2) Master’s Degree in Social Work (General) from any recognized University/Institute.
  (3) Master’s Degree in Home Science with specialization in Nutrition/ Dietetics/ Child Development from any recognized University/Institute.
• # Should be able to read or write in Khasi, Jaintia and Garo
• Preference:- Candidates with specialization in the field of Social Work and having experience working with NGOs or any agencies in Social Work.

3. Post Name:- Law Officer under the Law Department

• No of posts:- 4 [UR:1, KJ:1, Garo:2]
• Age limit:- 21 years to 32 years as of 01.01.2024. The Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST. There is no age bar for regular Government employees who entered Government service within the prescribed age limit.
• Salary:- Pay Level 15 of Revised Pay Structure
• Essential Qualification:- Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University. Should be able to read or write in Khasi, Jaintia, and Garo

4. Post Name:- Research Assistant under the Planning Department

• No of posts:- 5 [UR:1, KJ:1, Garo:2, Other ST/SC:1]
• Age limit:- 18 years to 32 years as of 01.01.2024. The Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST. There is no age bar for regular Government employees who entered Government service within the prescribed age limit.
• Salary:- Pay Level 11 of Revised Pay Structure
• Essential Qualification:- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/ Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects from any recognized University. Knowledge of the Khasi, Jaintia, or Garo language is desirable.

Candidates are to apply and submit their applications through Online mode only by clicking on the “Online Application” icon appearing on the MPSC website viz www.mpsc.nic.in. Applications received through any other mode will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected.

The Last date for online application is 17:00 hrs on 29th March 2024.

For candidates applying online for the first time through online mode, a one-time registration process is required to enable them to apply for the advertised vacancies/posts.

Application Fee

• For post at SL No. 1, 2 & 3: Rs. 450/-
• For post at SL No. 4: Rs. 300/-
• Half the rate for SC/ST who are permanent residents of the State of Meghalaya.
• For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWDs). Application Fee is exempted subject to furnishing the Disability Certificate to the Commission.
