Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024: The Meghalaya Police has released an employment notification for the recruitment of UB Sub Inspector, UB Constable, Fireman, Driver Fireman, Mechanic, MPRO Operator, Signall/BN operator, AB Constable, and Driver Constable. Application forms will be made available with effect from 1st April 2024 onwards and The last date for application submission is  30th April 2024.

Meghalaya Police Requirement 2024, UB Sub-Inspector Category

1. Post Name:- UB Sub-Inspector (Male & Female)

• No of posts:- [UR:4, K/J:30, G:31, OST/SC:3]
• Age limit:- 18 to 27 years.
• Salary:- Pay Level — 11 of Revised Pay Structure: 37800-86400/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules from time to time
• Essential Qualification:- Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized University.

Meghalaya Police Requirement 2024, UB Category

2. Post Name:- Unarmed Branch Constable

• No of posts:- 720 [UR:108, K/J:288, G:288, OST/SC:36]
• Age limit:- 18 to 21 years.
• Salary:- Pay Level- 4 of Revised Pay Structure, Rs. 22200-52400/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules from time to time.
• Essential Qualification:- 10+2 (Twelve) passed.

3. Post Name:- Fireman

• Age limit:- 18 to 21 years.

• Age limit:- 18 to 21 years.

6. Post Name:- MPRO Operator

• Age limit:- 18 to 21 years.

7. Post Name:- Signal/ BN Operator

8. Post Name:- Armed Branch Constable/ Battalion Constable/ MPRO GD/ Constable Handyman

• No of posts:- 1494 [UR:224, K/J:597, G:598, OST/SC:75]
• Age limit:- 18 to 21 years.
• Salary:- Pay Level — 3 of Revised Pay Structure: Non matriculates i.e. Class IX Passed -20600-48700/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules from time to time.
• Essential Qualification:- Class IX (Nine) passed.

9. Post Name:- Driver Constable

• No of posts:- 143 [UR:21, K/J:58, G:57, OST/SC:143]
• Age limit:- 18 to 21 years.
• Salary:- Pay Level — 3 of Revised Pay Structure: Non matriculates i.e. Class IX Passed -20600-48700/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules from time to time.
• Essential Qualification:- Class IX (Nine) passed.

Note: Candidates applying for Driver Fireman/ Driver Constable posts must possess an HMV/ LMV driving license.

• Male (ST /SC including Other Scheduled tribes of Meghalaya)- 157 CM
• Male (Open)- 162 CM
• Female(ST/ SC) including Other Scheduled tribes of Meghalaya)- 152 CM
• Female (Open)- 157 CM

How to apply for Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024, Constable and SI Vacancies?

Interested and eligible candidates may apply online through the Meghalaya Police Department website https://megpolice.gov.in from 1st April 2024 to 30th April 2024.

The following documents should be produced by the candidates at the time of PET for vetting and submit self-attested copies of the same at the time of the Personal Interview.

• 1 (one) recent passport-size photograph (at the time of Personal Interview).
• I.D proof — ADHAR Card/ EPIC/ Driving License/ PAN Card etc.
• S.T/S.C./O.S.T Certificate issued by the Deputy Commissioner of the respective Districts of Meghalaya.
• Age certificate as per HSLC/SSLC Certificates/ Admit Cards or equivalent certificate testifying the date of birth/age.
• Certificate for the highest Educational Qualification only.
• Additional qualification, if any.
• No Objection Certificate for Government employees.
• Photocopies of the Certificate to support the claim of Bonus Marks should also be produced at the time of PET and as and when asked for.

Upper Age Relaxation

• Candidate should be in the prescribed age indicated below as of 01.01.2024. Upper age relaxation of 5 (five) years can be availed by candidates belonging to ST/OST/SC

Application Fee

• The Application fee for each post shall be Rs. 150/- (Rupees One hundred and fifty) which should be paid through the payment gateway which will be indicated accordingly.
• The concerned bank will charge Candidates as per mode of payment. (Service Charges as applicable are to be borne by the candidates.)
