Meghalaya Post Office Recruitment 2025 – The Meghalaya Postal Division invites applications from eligible and interested candidates for the engagement of Field Officer & Direct Agent under Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI). A total of 60 posts are available. Local candidates are preferred. The selection will be through a walk-in interview scheduled on 10th June 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum qualification: 10th Standard pass from a recognized Central/State Board.
  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Preferred categories:
    • Unemployed or self-employed youth
    • Ex-life advisors/agents from insurance companies
    • Ex-servicemen
    • Anganwadi workers, Mahila Mandal workers
    • Retired teachers, SHGs, Gram Pradhan, Gram Panchayat members

Selection Process

Candidates must appear for the walk-in interview along with their application form and original certificates. The interview will assess:

Other Terms

  • Selected candidates must deposit Rs. 5,000/- as security in the form of NSC or KVP, refundable upon termination.

Payment of Commission

The commission structure for PLI/RPLI agents is as follows:

  • PLI New Business: 4% to 20% of 1st year premium (plan-dependent)
  • PLI Renewal: 1% of renewal premium
  • RPLI New Business: 10% of procurement premium
  • RPLI Renewal: 2.5% of renewal premium

No commission is payable after the termination of license on older policies.
