Meghalayan Age Limited Community Tourism Fellowship Programme Notification:- Meghalayan Age Limited (MAL), a Govt of Meghalaya undertaking invites eligible individuals to apply for the Fellowship programme under Community Based Rural Tourism. The last date for submission of the application is 31st March 2021.
This initiative from the Meghalayan Age Limited (MAL) is to enable mobilizing of local tourism practitioners to disseminate information as well as share knowledge on community-based rural tourism and provide assistance to the local community, thereby developing and improving the tourism in the state.
Programme Name:- Community Tourism Fellowship
- Tenure:- The engagement will be for a period of 1 year.
- Compensation:- Each selected fellow will be paid a grant of up to 2 lakh rupees on a quarterly basis subject to the fulfillment of all the deliverables.
- Eligibility Criteria:-
(a) The applicants should be minimum of a graduate with sound knowledge on the concept of communitybased tourism with good writing and communication skills.
(b) Knowledge of a local language either Khasi, Garo or Jaintia beside English is a basic requirement.
(c) It is also expected that these applicants have a bike/motor vehicle and can commute on their own without hindrances whenever required.
(d) Preference will be given to applicants from rural areas.

Applicants must enclose along with the Application Form, recent passport size photograph, and self-attested copies of the following documents;

Selection Process
Under this fellowship programme, the practitioners from different rural areas will be selected from among the applicants. The selection process for the role will be based on a walk-in interview with the panels from the Tourism Department & MAL.
