NEC Shillong Recruitment 2024: The North Eastern Council Secretariat, Shillong has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 13 (thirteen) Junior Consultants in the NEC Secretariat. The last date for submission of the application is 26th February 2024.

• No of posts:- 13
• Age limit:- 25 to 25 years. There will be age limit relaxation by 5 (five) years for SC/ ST candidates and 3(three) years for OBC candidates.
• Salary:- Rs. 37,000/- per month

Section-wise NEC Shillong Recruitment 2024 vacancy details

1. Section Name:- Finance

• No of posts:- 3
• Essential Qualification and Experience:-
  # Post Graduate degree in MBA (Finance)/Post Graduate degree in M/Com (Finance)/ Post Graduate degree in MCA (IT)
  # Minimum 5 (five) years experience in Central/State Government Office.

2. Section Name:- Tourism & Industries

• No of posts:- 2
• Essential Qualification and Experience:-
  # Tourism: Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in the field of Tourism & Travel having strong knowledge of NEC functioning. Min. 5 years experience.
  # Industries: Masters in Arts preferably Sociology having strong knowledge of NEC functioning. Min. 5 years experience.

3. Section Name:- Science & Technology

• No of posts:- 1
• Essential Qualification and Experience:- M.Tech/M.Sc. Tech/M.Sc in the field of Earth Sciences (Geology/Geophysics), M.Tech/M.Sc Remote Sensing & GIS/Geoinformatics, B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical/ Civil/ Electrical/ Electronics & Communication/ Computer Applications/IT/ICT; M.Sc. in Physics/ Biotechnology/ Environmental science.
• Desirable qualifications and experience:-
  (i) Minimum 2 years experience in related work like compilation and analysis of data and preparation of notes, PowerPoint presentations, knowing various programs and schemes/policies of the Central Government as well as State Government, etc.
  (ii) Knowledge of basic computer applications especially MS Office
  (iii) Consistently good academic records.
  (iv) Good communication skills.

4. Section Name:- Planning

• No of posts:- 2
• Essential Qualification and Experience:-
  (i) BA/B.Sc in Economics or B.Sc in Statistics/Mathematics or B.Sc (IT) or BCA or BE (Computer Science).
  (ii) Candidates having BA/BSc in Economics or B.Sc in Statistics/Mathematics should possess a minimum 1-year certificate course in Computer especially MS Word, MS Excel,
  MS PPT etc. from any reputed institute recognized by the State/Central Government authorities concerned.
  (iii) Candidates should possess experience handling statistical data and analysis for a minimum of five(5) years.
• Desirable qualification and experience:- MA/MSc in Economics or M.Sc in Statistics/Mathematics or M.Sc (IT) or MCA

5. Section Name:- HRD &E

• No of posts:- 1
• Essential Qualification and Experience: Graduate/Master’s degree. Minimum 5 (five) years in Central Govt. office.

6. Section Name:- IFC&WM

• No of posts:- 1
• Essential Qualification and Experience:-
  (a) Master’s Degree in Social Science from a recognized Institute/University.
  (b) Minimum five years of supervisory experience in a Central Government office
• Desirable qualification and experience:- Preferable knowledge: Oasis; PFMS & E-office

7. Section Name:- T&C

• No of posts:- 1
• Essential Qualification and Experience:- B-tech/BE in Civil Engineering
• Desirable qualifications and experience:-
  1. Minimum 4(four) years of experience in Technical scrutiny of detailed project Reports in respect of roads, bridges, buildings & other civil engineering structures.
  2. Minimum 4(four) years of experience in preparation of civil engineering estimates and design of projects particularly in Roads & Bridges, Buildings, etc.
  3. Proficiency Knowledge in Computer skills such as MS Excel, MS Word Autocad

8. Section Name:- Agri & Allied

• No of posts:- 2
• Essential Qualification and Experience:-
  For Aquaculture & Fish Processing: Masters Degree in Fisheries Science (Aquaculture & Fish Processing) from a recognized University/Institution.
  for Applied Aquaculture: Master’s Degree in Fisheries Science (Applied Aquaculture from a recognized University/Institution.
• Experience (for both):-
  (i) 5 Years of Master’s Degree holders and 2 years for Ph.D. Degree holders.
  (ii) Practical experience and a sound Knowledge of Fisheries development work
  (iii) Excellent Communication skills, both written and spoken
  (iv) Technical and analytical skills Proficiency in IT (Computer)
• Desirable qualifications and experience:-
  (i) Ph. D Degree in Fisheries Science.
  (ii) Experience in Fisheries development work including formulation and examining project/scheme proposals in the important Fisheries for developing Rural Livelihoods and Employment generation in the 8 (eight) North Eastern States.
