NVS Shillong Notification 2023: Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Regional Office (RO), Shillong has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 762 Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs)/Misc. on a purely contractual basis in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas under Shillong Region for the academic session 2023-2024. Qualification & Experience of NVS Shillong
(i) PGTs
- Essential: (a) Master’s degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate n the relevant subject. (b) B.Ed. Degree. (c) Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English Medium.
- Desirable: (a) Teaching experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school. (b) Experience working in a residential school. (c) Knowledge of Computer applications. (d) Knowledge of Regional languages.
(ii) TGTs
- Essential: Four-year integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT or other NCTE-recognized institution with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregated.
- Desirable: (a) Teaching experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school. (b) Experience working in a residential school. (c) Knowledge of Computer applications. (d) Knowledge of regional languages.
(iii) Art Teacher
- Essential: (a) Degree in Fine Arts/Crafts from a recognized University. (b) Proficiency teaching in English & Hindi.
- Desirable: (i) Knowledge of regional languages. (ii) Experience working in a residential school. (iii) Teaching experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school. (iv) Knowledge of computer applications. 9v) Achievements at State/National level competitions.
(iv) Physical Education Teacher (Male & Female)
- Essential: (a) Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, B.P. Ed. from a recognized University. (b) Proficiency to teach in English and Hindi.
- Desirable: (i) Working experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school. (ii) Knowledge of Regional Language. (iii) M.P.Ed./M.Sc. (Sports Coaching) from LNCPE, LNIPE, NSU or any National or State University. (iv) Achievements at State/National/International level competitions.
(v) Music Teachers
- Essential: (a) Bachelor’s degree in music from a recognized university. (b) Proficiency to teach in English and Hindi.
- Desirable: (i) Knowledge of regional languages. (ii) Experience working in a residential school. (iii) Teaching experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school. (iv) Knowledge of Computer applications. (v) Achievements at State/National/International level competitions.
(vi) Librarian
- Essential: (a) University degree in Library Science from a recognized institution. (b) Working knowledge of English and Hindi.
- Desirable: (i) Experience working in a residential school. (ii) Teaching experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school. (iii) Knowledge of regional languages. (iv) Knowledge of Computer applications.
(vii) Faculty-cum-System Administrator (FCSA)
- Essential: (Minimum 50% marks) Graduation with PGDCA from a recognized university/institution recognized by AICTE. Or BCA/B.Sc./B.Tech/BE in Computer Science/Information Technology or Information Science from a recognized university. Or MCA/Master in Computer Science/Other Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science/IT from a recognized university.
- Desirable: (a) Teaching experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school. (b) Experience working in a residential school. (c) Knowledge of Computer hardware and networking. (d) Knowledge of regional languages. (e) Achievements in the field of ICT of Self/Mentoring of students at State/National level competitions.
Age limit for NVS Shillong Vacancy
- The upper age limit for all categories of teachers is 50 years as of 1st July 2023. For Ex-NVS/Superannuated Govt. School Teacher’s maximum age limit will be 62 years as of 1st July 2023.
- FCSA: Upper age limit 50 years as of 1st July 2023.
Remuneration of NVS Shillong Vacancy
- PGTs: Rs.42,250/- per month.
- TGTs & Misc. Category Teachers: Rs.40,625/- per month.
- FCSA: Rs.40,625/- per month.
