ASRB Recruitment 2023: Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB), New Delhi has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 368 Principal Scientists and Senior Scientist vacancies on a permanent basis in different locations at ICAR Research Institutes. The last date for submission of the application is September 08, 2023.
1. Post Name: Principal Scientist
- Pay: Pay Level-13A Rs.1,31,400-2,17,100/-.

Essential Qualification:
- Doctoral degree in Agricultural Chemicals including relevant basic sciences.
- 10 years of experience in the relevant subject out of which at least 8 years should be as a Scientist/ Lecturer/Extension specialist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band-3 of Rs.15600-39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/Rs.6000/Rs.7000/Rs.8000/ equivalent or more remuneration whichever is applicable and 2 years as Senior Scientist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band-4 of Rs.37400-67000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.8700/- Rs.9000/- equivalent or more remuneration whichever is applicable.
- The candidate should have made a contribution to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact.
- Desirable: Specialization in Agricultural Chemicals, particularly in the use of herbicides with experience in Weed Science Research.

- Essential Qualification:
Doctoral degree in Engineering in the subject Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering including relevant basic sciences with 08 years experience in the relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band-3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400 (Pay Level 10 in 7th CPC)/Rs.6000 (UGC Pay Level 10 in 7th CPC)/Rs.7000 (UGC Pay Level 11 in 7th CPC)/Rs.8000 (UGC Pay Level 12 in 7th CPC) equivalent or more remuneration, whichever is applicable, having made a contribution to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact. OR
Doctoral degree in Engineering in the subject Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering including relevant basic sciences with minimum 08 years experience of high-quality post-doctoral research in an institution/organization as evidenced by at least 6 publications in journals with NAAS rating of 7.5 or above.
- Desirable: Experience in the area of design Electronics & Instrumentation/control systems/AI/IoT.
Age Limit for ASRB Scientist Jobs
(a) Principal Scientist: An applicant must be a citizen of India and should not have attained the age of 52 years as of the closing date for submission of online applications for the post of Principal Scientist notified in Advt. No. 03/2023. There will be no age limit for the ICAR employees.
(b) Senior Scientist: An applicant must be a citizen of India and should not have attained the age of 47 years as of the closing date for submission of online applications for the post of Senior Scientist notified in Advt. No. 03/2023. There will be no age limit for the ICAR employees.
Application Fee of ASRB Scientist Posts
# The application fee of Rs. 1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) for each position should be deposited through Bharatkosh (bharatkosh.gov.in) while filling out the online application form available.
# Payment can be made through a Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI from any Bank. Transaction charges for Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/ UPI payment, as the case may be, have to be borne by the candidate. Mere payment of fees in Bharatkosh without successful submission of the application form (till the last date and time for submission of the online application form) will not be considered. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/Divyang categories and women need not pay any fee.
# Application fee for each position should be paid separately for the post applied for. The fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
How to Apply for ASRB Scientist Vacancy?
# A candidate must apply online using the online application form link available on the ASRB website only.
# Candidates are informed that the details they provide in the Online Application Form will be used for all future references and no modification thereto can be done subsequently. Hence, they are advised to be very careful while filling online Application Form.
# The Online Application Form is spread over a number of parts. Candidates will receive an email/SMS on successful registration in Part-I i.e., basic data regarding their Name, Father’s Name, E-mail Id, Date of Birth, etc. after which all the stages of the application form are to be completed and final submission is done.
# Candidates are required to complete the Application Form by filling in all the parts for which they will be guided during the course of filling the online Application Form.
# Candidates are required to keep ready the following relevant details/information/documents at the time of filling out the online application form: –
a. Name (as recorded in the service book)
b. Complete Address for communication
c. Complete Permanent Address
d. Matriculation or equivalent Certificate as proof of date of birth
e. Master’s Degree Certificate
f. Doctorate Degree Certificate
g. Any other certificate relevant to the post applied
h. Scanned copy of a recent passport-size photograph taken against white background only, of a maximum size of 150 KB in .jpg format only with the face covering at least 2/3rd of the total space and taken without spectacles.
i. Scanned copy of signatures taken in Black/Blue ink on white paper in .jpg format only.
j. Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI details for online payment of the fee.
k. Valid and active official e-mail id.
l. The candidate should have details of one Photo ID viz. Aadhar Card/Voter Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving License/Any other Photo ID card issued by the State/Central Government. The details of this Photo ID will have to be provided by the candidate while filling up the online application form. The candidates will have to upload a scanned copy of the Photo ID whose details have been provided in the online application by him/her.
m. Scanned copies of the certificates/documentary evidence as required for filling up online applications as proof of claims.
n. All documents uploaded should be clearly visible and readable. Unclear and blurred copies of documents will not be entertained and shall be rejected.
