Meghalaya TET Exam Notification 2023: Applications are invited for Candidates who are citizens of India and who are permanent residents of Meghalaya, desirous of applying for appointment as Elementary School Teachers (Classes I to VIII) and for teachers appointed to teach Classes I to VIII after the NCTE Notification dated 23.08.2010 for applying the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test, (MTET) 2023.
The tentative date for the Examination is on the 1st December 2023.

Meghalaya TET Exam Eligibility Criteria
For Lower Primary (Class I-V)
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2 years of Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Higher Secondary with at least 45% marks and 2 years of Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 years of B.El.ED OR
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2 years of Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
- Graduation with at least 50% Marks and D.El.Ed / B.Ed
For Upper Primary (Class VI-VIII)
- Graduation or Post Graduation with at least 50% Marks and D.El.Ed/ B.Ed OR
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary education (B.El.Ed) OR
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A/B.Sc. ED or B.A.ED/B.Sc.ED OR
- Graduation with 50% Marks and 1-year B.Ed (Special education)
Note: Relaxation up to 5% in the Qualifying Marks in the Minimum Educational Qualification to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD Category

Validity of Meghalaya TET Exam Certificate
The validity period of MTET Qualifying Certificated for appointment would remain Valid for Lifetime.
Candidates who intend to sit for the Test are instructed to check all details about the Test from the Education website www.megeducation.gov.in. Further, candidates applying for the Test will have to visit the above website for their online application which will be open at 10:00 a.m. from 3rd October 2023 (10:00 a.m.) till 26th October 2023 (Up to 5:00 p.m.).
