NHPC Recruitment 2023: Trainee Engineer & Office (401 Posts)

NHPC Recruitment 2023: National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited has released an employment notification for the recruitment of a Trainee Engineer (Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical) and Trainee Officer (Finance, HR, and LAW). Candidates having valid GATE-2022, UGC NET-Dec-2021 & June 2022 (merged cycle), CLAT 2022 (for PG) & CA/CMA Score can only apply. Eligible candidates may apply online from 05th January 2023 (10:00 AM) to 25th January 2023.

1. Post Name:- Trainee Engineer (Civil)

  • No of posts:- 36 [SC:20, ST:10, OBC:36, EWS:13, UR:57]
  • Essential Qualification:-
    Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in Civil Discipline from a recognized Indian University/ Institute approved by AICTE with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade
    OR
    AMIE (enrolment up to 31.05.2013) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade.

2. Post Name:- Trainee Engineer (Electrical)

  • No of posts:- 41 [SC:5, ST:3, OBC:10, EWS:3, UR:20]
  • Essential Qualification:-
    Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Electrical Discipline from a recognized Indian University/ Institute approved by AICTE with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade
    OR
    AMIE (enrollment up to 31.05.2013) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade
    # Electrical Discipline includes Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics/ Power Systems & Hiqh Voltaqe/ Power Engineering.

3. Post Name:- Trainee Engineer (Mechanical)

  • No of posts:- 108 [SC:16, ST:8, OBC:29, EWS:10, UR:45]
  • Essential Qualification:-
    Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Mechanical Discipline from a recognized Indian University/ Institute approved by AICTE with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade
    OR
    AMIE (enrollment up to 31.05.2013) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade
    # Mechanical Discipline includes Mechanical/ Production/ Thermal/ Mechanical & Automation Engineering

4. Post Name:- Trainee Officer (Finance)

  • No of posts:- 99 [SC:14, ST:7, OBC:28, EWS:9, UR:41]
  • Essential Qualification:- Graduate with a CA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/ ICWA or CMA from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (formerly known as the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India). Passed Candidates are only eligible to apply.

5. Post Name:- Trainee Officer (HR)

  • No of posts:- 14 [SC1, OBC:2, EWS:1, UR:10]
  • Essential Qualification:-
    Full-time regular two years Post Graduate Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Post Graduate Program in Management with specialization in Human Resource/ Human Resource Management/ Human Resource Management & Labour Relations /Industrial Relations/ Personnel Management/ Personnel Management & Industrial Relations/ Industrial Relations & Personnel Management from recognized Indian University/ Institute approved by AICTE.
    Or
    Full-time regular two years Master in Social Work with specialization in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from a recognized Indian University/ Institute approved by AICTE.
    Or
    Full-time regular two years Masters of Human Resource and Organizational Development (MHROD) from a recognized Indian University/ Institute approved by AICTE.
    Or
    Full-time regular two years MBA with specialization in Human Resources as a major subject from a recognized Indian University/ Institute approved by AICTE. Candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in Master’s Degree or P.G. Diploma/Program.

6. Post Name:- Trainee Officer (LAW)

  • No of posts:- 3 [UR:3]
  • Essential Qualification:- Full-time regular Graduate Degree in Law (Professional) (3 Years LLB or 5 Years Integrated Course) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade from recognized Indian University/ Institute recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Age limit

  • The upper age limit for Trainee Engineer posts in NHPC Limited is 30 years as of 25.01.2023 which is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST, and 3 years for OBC (Non- creamy layer) Candidates. It is relaxable by 10 years for PwBD – General, 13 years for PwBD – OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and 15 years for PwBD-SC/ST candidates.

Salary

  • Pay scale Rs. 50,000-3%-1,60,000 (IDA). After successful completion of training, candidates selected through this recruitment process will be appointed in NHPC on a regular basis and will receive an annual CTC Package of approx. Rs. 15 Lakh.

Only candidates who have appeared in GATE-2022 and have valid scores with GATE Registration Number, appeared in UGC NET-Dec-2021 & June 2022 (merged cycle) with valid Application Number, appeared in CLAT 2022 (applicable for admission to PG/ LLM Courses) with CLAT 2022 Registration Number, and candidates who have valid CA/CMA score with CA/CMA certificate can register online in NHPC’s website http://www.nhpcindia.com/career.htm against for these posts.

Selection Process

Trainee Engineer (Civil, Electrical and Mechanical)

  • Candidates shall be shortlisted out of the candidates registered with NHPC as per merit based on the GATE — 2022 marks and will be provisionally selected and extended “Offer of Appointment” on a provisional basis. Candidates with valid scores in the corresponding paper of the GATE-2022 exam can only apply.

For Trainee Officer (Finance)

  • Candidates shall be shortlisted out of the candidates registered with NHPC as per merit based on the CA/CMA Intermediate and Final aggregate score and will be Provisionally selected and extended “Offer of Appointment” on a provisional basis.

For Trainee Officer (HR)

  • Candidates who have appeared in the companion paper of the UGC NET-Dec-2021 & June 2022 (merged cycle) exams can apply. The corresponding UGC NET Paper Code is 55.

For Trainee Officer (Law)

  • Candidates who have appeared in the corresponding paper of the CLAT 2022 exam can apply.

Application Fee

  • For the post of Trainee Engineer in NHPC Limited, candidates belonging to the General, EWS & OBC categories are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 295/- (including GST@18%) through online mode.
  • The SC/ST/PwBD Ex-Serviceman category candidates need not pay the registration fee.
